On occasion lately, I’ve been feeling that the changes that I’m ready to see manifest in our world are not happening fast enough. I mean come on already! I’ve heard about the shift, I know we’re in the middle of it and I’m experiencing time speeding up as much as the next person, but I’ve wanted to see more happen, more quickly. I’ve also been a bit hard on myself lately regarding the expansion of my business, feeling like I want to do more NOW! At times, I feel I’ve expanded so far and at others, I feel, oh my gosh, I have so far to go!

All of this began piling up within me and I found myself becoming more and more pessimistic and frustrated than I’d like. So I decided to go within to discover what was going on in order to nip this unhelpful pattern in the bud.

The Divine Within is the Spark

In doing so, here’s what I’ve learned about myself:

My reaction to these situations is and was about me.

My impatience was coming from the fact that I wanted to feel part of something, important to someone or something big, appreciated by someone or something big. I wanted to feel as if I was helping someone. Essentially, I was looking outside myself for satisfaction and fulfillment.

But what I remembered was that I must first choose to feel that same way about MYSELF before the Universe will reflect it back to me. First and foremost, I need to feel connected to myself, important to myself, appreciated by myself. And I can choose to feel these ways about myself without relying on something outside of myself to help me feel that way. My sense of fulfillment, my sense of worth, my sense of I am Love Incarnate, I can love and I am lovable, must come from within and be sustained by the spark of the Divine WITHIN ME. Igniting the Divine Spark within me allows me to stand in my authentic, Divine power and allows me to BE what I often seek outside myself for fulfillment.

Learning how to find and access my own inner joy and Light without relying on anything outside myself to do so gives me freedom!

So, I choose to remember that:

I AM part of something – I AM part of this Grand Universe, this Grand Experiment of Life.

I AM important to someone – I AM a part of the Whole. I AM a unique, individualized part of God and, as that, I am appreciated and loved and honored and cherished by All That Is.

I AM helping someone and can help someone - I know that I can help myself by loving myself, honoring myself and cherishing myself and the beautiful creation of God that I AM.

Afterall…

Helping the world comes about when we first learn to help ourselves.

Loving another comes first from our being able to truly and unconditionally love ourselves.

Loving ourselves shows others how to do the same for themselves.

Then, our unconditional love for others really functions as an extension of our love for ourselves.

Our Awareness Helps the World.

I remember that it is also true that I can help the world simply by my awareness, by being aware. Aware of who I AM, aware of my connectedness – to God, to my Divinity, to everyone else.

Dan Brown’s new book, “The Lost Symbol” starts off with the following interesting quote:

To live in the world without becoming aware of the meaning of the world is like wandering about in a great library without touching the books. The Secret Teachings of All Ages.

My being aware raises my vibration, which raises the vibration of the planet, which spills over and makes it easier for others to, in turn, raise their own vibrations and that of the planet.

As I move closer and closer to a state of simply being – to a state of being aware and expressing my joy, my passion, my Love of life in all that I do, be, say and think – that awareness and simple state of being will move mountains and help in enormous ways I might never see with my physical eyes. Have you ever seen how one calm, peaceful, fully aware being can transform the energy of a room?

So, as I am thankful for those who paved the way for civil rights and women’s rights, etc., so too am I thankful for those who have paved the way for me to obtain the level of awareness I have now. Both the Masters of the past, such as Master Jesus, Buddha, etc., AND the humble, the quiet and the meek, who day by day, moment by moment, live their lives in the glory of their Divinity and allow their Light to shine forth as a beacon for all to see.

Our awareness of who we are and our connectedness can help change our home, our street, our community, our city, our state, our nation and our world – in that manner, one person at a time – without us saying even a word!

I have made a personal choice to continue experiencing, expressing and expanding my awareness and by this writing so again declare the same to Spirit.

We’re all Part of Something Big!

How about you? Are you willing to remember that:

*** You too are part of something – You are a part of this grand Universe, this Grand Experiment of Life.

*** You too are important to someone – You are a part of the Whole. You are a unique, individualized part of the Creator and, as that, you are appreciated and loved and honored and cherished by All That Is, just as you are – perfect.

*** You too are helping someone - You can help the world and everyone in it by helping yourself, loving yourself, honoring yourself and cherishing yourself and the beautiful creation of God and the Creator that you are! By raising your own awareness and your own vibration, you can help others raise theirs and we can each thereby help raise the vibration of the planet as a whole!

Whatever you may be going through, dear one reading this, know that you are loved, your are honored, and you are cherished. You have a right to be here just as you are, going through whatever you are. And you are here right now, above all else, expressing through your experience. You are here right now expressing and helping through your own level of awareness, whatever that may be. And you know what. So am I. And so the way I see it, that makes us both part of something BIG!

Wishing you Peace, Love and Joy,

LaTonya

Wouldn’t it be wonderful to take part in something like this?

Here’s a little something…

… that is for those joining me in play today!

… that reminds me of our interconnectedness.

… that lightens my heart and reminds me that we are all in this, the Journey of Life, together.

Here’s a little something … that confirms for me that all I need really do is BE…living in the NOW…as I AM.

As I watch this video, my Heart beats, my Heart sings to me that as I live in the Now, in the present, expressing as the the Love Incarnate that I AM, I join together in unison, with all others doing the same…and our Hearts beat as ONE, together, in Love. Rising, shifting, and twirling together, as One, towards unlimited Love, Light, Joy and Expression!

Today, I feel so grateful and thankful and feel so blessed to be on the same planet as Matt! He is me, and I am he, and we are One, as all are One. (Learn more about the video below and Matt at: http://www.wherethehellismatt.com/). I thank you Matt for sharing this beautiful, inspiring, invigorating, and passionate expression of Life with me. Watching it, I laughed, I cried, and I to jumped up and down in joy together with you and all those around the world.

What does watching this video inspire in you? How does it make you feel?

Click here to view the embedded video.

Earlier I asked “Wouldn’t it be wonderful to take part in something like this?”
Well, guess what, we are! It’s called the dance of Life. And we’re all doing it, participating in it, every day of our lives, whether we know it or not.

We see what we focus on. I choose to focus on the Love, the Peace, the Joy…for that is what I choose to attract into my experience. How about you? What do you choose to focus on? Remember that no matter what sadness, anger, or fear we may feel surrounds us, the joy is there as well…the laughter is there as well…the companionship is there, the friendship is there…and the Love is there as well… dancing all around us. I’m ready to continue dancing and am so happy and grateful to have so many partners!

Love peace and blessings,
LaTonya

The excerpt below is from an email chain I ran across recently. Today I am thankful for those human angels and email warriors from around the world who take the time to share beautiful messages and reminders with me – like the one I’ve listed below.

I am always amazed at the simultaneous simplicity and intricacy of the workings of the Universe. Why is a snowflake shaped the way it is? Who made the sun, the stars, the moon? It’s amazing how the parts of nature and our world all fit and work together so perfectly and intricately.

The scientific theories of the Butterfly Effect and Chaos Theory indicate that often what appears to be random is not. Stated differently… there is an underlying order in that which
appears to be random. (A wonderful explanation of Chaos Theory and the Butterfly Effect for those of us without scientific backgrounds can be found here.)

Additionally, the homeopathic belief is based on “The Doctrine of Signatures” , which is a belief that all plants were given a look or signature that determines what they are for in relation to the human body, i.e., if a particular plant/food looks like a heart, then that means it is good for the heart, etc.

For example, if we were to look at the entirety of all of the fruits and vegetables of this world together on a table (I know, it would have to be a mighty big one!), when looking at the pile, it might appear that the size, shape, color, etc., of any one particular food is random. Yet on closer inspection, and with more knowledge on our part, this apparent randomness might indeed suggest an underlying order instead.

So the information below reminds me that there is indeed order in my world, despite how chaotic things around me may seem to be at times. All I need do is remember to trust in God’s Plan, the Universal Plan. Trusting in the Universal Plan allows me to relax and focus on the Now, knowing that all my questions, concerns, issues and challenges have already been answered. With that trust, faith, intent for the highest good and purposeful action on my part, I am unstoppable!

As a friend shared with me recently:

IT IS “MY” MIND THAT CREATES MY EXPERIENCES.

I AM UNLIMITED IN MY OWN ABILITY TO CREATE THE GOOD IN MY LIFE.

So, I see it as my task is to figure out ways to continually connect with the Universe, with Source, with Creator, with the Divine within me, to attract and manifest the needed answers and solutions in my life.

At this point in my life, it is important that my “connection with Source” come from within me. I have tired of looking outself myself for solutions. I’m finding that connecting with Source is about going within and being in the Now and having that awareness of being that puts me in the flow. And I’ve noticed that the more in the flow I am, the more easily and quickly the answers that are already there appear in my experience and my world.

So today…
I am thankful for God’s Plan…the Universal Plan, that is constantly at work in my life.
I am thankful for all the good that surrounds me each and every day.

Enjoy!

_______________________________

God’s Food Plan

It’s been said that God first separated the salt water from the fresh, made dry land, planted a garden, made animals and fish… All before making a human. [Creator] made and provided what we’d need before we were born. These [foods] are best & more powerful when eaten raw.

God left us a great clue as to what foods help what part of our body!

God’s Pharmacy! Amazing!

A sliced Carrot looks like the human eye. The pupil, iris and radiating lines look just like the human eye… And YES, science now shows carrots greatly enhance blood flow to and function of the eyes.

A Tomato has four chambers and is red.
The heart has four chambers and is red.
All of the research shows tomatoes are loaded with lycopine and are indeed pure heart and blood food.

Grapes hang in a cluster that has the shape of the heart. Each grape looks like a blood cell and all of the research today shows grapes are also profound heart and blood vitalizing food.

A Walnut looks like a little brain, a left and right hemisphere, upper cerebrums and lower cerebellums. Even the wrinkles or folds on the nut are just like the neo-cortex. We now know walnuts help develop more than three (3) dozen neuron-transmitters for brain function.

Kidney Beans actually heal and help maintain kidney function and yes, they look exactly like the human kidneys.

Celery, Bok Choy, Rhubarb and many more look just like bones. These foods specifically target bone strength. Bones are 23% sodium and these foods are 23% sodium. If you don’t have enough sodium in your diet, the body pulls it from the bones, thus making them weak. These foods replenish the skeletal needs of the body.

Avocadoes, Eggplant and Pears target the health and function of the womb and cervix of the female – they look just like these organs. Today’s research shows that when a woman eats one avocado a week, it balances hormones, sheds unwanted birth weight, and prevents cervical cancers. And how profound is this? It takes exactly nine (9) months to grow an avocado from blossom to ripened fruit. There are over 14,000 photolytic chemical constituents of nutrition in each one of these foods (modern science has only studied and named about 141 of them).

Figs are full of seeds and hang in twos when they grow. Figs increase the mobility of male sperm and increase the numbers of Sperm as well to overcome male sterility.

Sweet Potatoes look like the pancreas and actually balance the glycemic index of diabetics.

Olives assist the health and function of the ovaries.

Oranges, Grapefruits, and other Citrus fruits look just like the mammary glands of the female and actually assist the health of the breasts and the movement of lymph in and out of the breasts.

Onions look like the body’s cells. Today’s research shows onions help clear waste materials from all of the body cells. They even produce tears which wash the epithelial layers of the eyes. A working companion, Garlic, also helps eliminate waste materials and dangerous free radicals from the body.

There once was a woman who was born to love, to help and to play. And boy did she want to play! She wanted to run. She wanted to skip. She wanted to laugh. She wanted to jump up and down and yell from the rooftops about joy - the joy of life, the joy of living, the joy of feeling, the joy of crying, the joy of dying back into the Essence to be reborn again to play and experience yet even more.

There once was a woman, both a little girl and a little boy at heart, who came here to express. And for a long while she did. The woods were an adventure, playing with the ants and insects gave her great friendship, studying the clouds brought her great joy. She opened here Heart to everyone and everywhere the little girl went, the joy inside her bubbled up and out of the smile on her face. Sometimes she yelled and marveled at the beauty of her voice. Sometimes she cried, but always felt better afterwards, viewing her tears as a bridge leading her to the ocean of God. She did it all, experienced it all. She laughed, she played, she hugged others and told them how much she loved them, loved life, loving playing, loved experiencing, which in turn expressed how much she loved herself.

Yet, as she grew older and older, the little girl began closing off the expression of her joy. Little by little she shut down and stopped laughing, stopped crying, stopped yelling, stopped expressing. She had forgotten the joy of crying. Instead, she began to believe that crying was wrong, it was bad. It meant she was weak, instead of strong. So the little girl built a wall around her heart, encasing it to protect herself from the hurt.

What was she to do?

For without expression, life becomes and had become meaningless. As a result, and seeking comfort and peace, the little girl started checking out, returning to Spirit in her mind more and more. Often times she’d have a far away look in her eyes and she was less friendly, less fearless, less joyful. Instead, she checked out and began returning Home mentally so that she could live out the expression she so longed to do on Earth in the land of Spirit where she felt there were no daggers, no roadblocks, no critics, no judgment.

Soon though, the little girl noticed that the constant disappearing from her life had effects. She looked and noticed that she was not so “little” anymore. The walls around here were huge! For now, not only was her Heart encased behind a wall, but she’d then created and gained physical weight representing that same wall to further protect her and shield her from the world.

The wall the little girl created was very good at its job. It was magnificent indeed, for the little girl created it out of her Divinity, and she was a magnificent Creator.

The walls kept her from being hurt by keeping others away so that they could not accidentally touch the little girl’s Heart with pain, with judgment, or with anger. However, the wall also prevented others from touching her with their Hearts and their Love as well. The walls prevented the little girl from giving and receiving that which was really the most precious to her – love…laughter…joy…experience.

As the years went by, this withdrawal continued on until the little girl woke up one day and discovered that she could no longer feel at all! The once joyful girl felt lost, hopeless, alone and frightened.

What was she to do?

Whenever I’m looking to help the little girl inside me out of her box, here is what I share with her:

YOU ARE LOVE.

YOU ARE LOVED.

YOU ARE UNSTOPPABLE, UNFLAPPABLE, UNHURTABLE.

YOU ARE LOVE INCARNATE.

The boxes and walls you’ve placed around your Heart, though seemingly hard, are really made of simple sand that will easily fall with the slightest puff of wind from your breath blown at them in Love. Fear has no place within you unless you choose to make it a home. You are eternal, born unto Infinity. On your breath and through your words fly the Love of the Creator who created you. Reflected in your eyes may you and others find peace, joy and remembrance of Who You Are. Live unto the dying breath of this life and then, if you choose, breathe yet again into another. Spread the Love, spread the seed of True Life and bring joy unto this world.

Where you walk, goes God. Where you look, is God. Share the Love inside of you with all others, for in doing so you’ll be sharing it with yourself. Joy unto the world through you, as you, with you, as Me, as Love Incarnate. Life experienced is Joy Lived. Joy lived is Joy Experienced. Joy experienced is Heaven on Earth.

Know that you came here to express, to share Love and to be Loved. For you are Love Incarnate. You came here to experience the ups, the downs, the highs, the lows and the sideways. You came here to experience. What you experience as pain is simply one facet of emotion created here by you as a Creator to remind you that you cannot ever be truly hurt, for you are eternal. You are forever shielded, guided and protected – for so long as you would have that be so. So experience. Soak it all up. Live it up. Most of all CHOOSE! Make a choice and experience your resulting creations. Then if you like, make another choice and experience the effects and creations of that one. The world is your playground, built for you and by you, as one with the One.

So LIVE, Dear One, LIVE!

This week, we witnessed the passing on of the well known individuals –

Ed McMahon, Farrah Fawcett and Michael Jackson.

I’ve been longing to express on these passings, so I’ve decided to honor my inner callings…

For me, Farrah taught me about true grace and through her struggles she taught me about the beauty of the Spirit within us all that connects us all. I see Farrah as an example of the goddess energy that will be coming forth even more now to share with us all about self-acceptance and self-love, for the “outer beauty” of the goddess energy is simply a reminder or representative of the inner beauty that lies within us.

My favorite songs of Michael’s were “The Man in the Mirror” and “We are the World”. Through those he taught me about the importance of being the world I want to see and he showed me the power of speaking of Love and Oneness and Acceptance to the world without judgment or preaching. His messages touched a place of truth within so many, I believe, because we all yearn to hear and communicate those messages to everyone around us. Michael had a platform to do that, and did that, and for that, I believe he will hold a special place within the hearts of many forever.

Ed McMahon taught me about the value of play and of service and of giving to others. He showed the world that it’s okay to not be the front runner, the man in charge, the center of the attention. You can still change the world, have an impact, and lighten the load of many, through kind, loving and dedicated service to others. We all have our varied paths, and despite the prominence of some versus the other, we are each just as glorious, whole and complete in our eternal Spirit as the other, no matter which jacket we decide to wear this time around, this incarnation.

I know that while the physicality of their expressions in this lifetime has ended, their essence will be with us forever. All is energy and so they have not died, but instead have simply changed form, passing from here to there.

The suddenness of their transitions reminds me to be vocal, demonstrative and unconditional in the expression of my Love for others. It also reminds me to refocus and keep my focus on the truly important things in my life like “why am I really here”, “what did I come here to do”, “what unique talent do I have to share with others”, “what’s my big picture in all of this….”

It’s often said that part of the beauty of another’s transition is what it can help teach those who are left behind…

So, to these beautiful souls, and to the other, less well known but just as beautiful, souls who have transitioned recently, I raise my glass in honor of you…I say farewell, great job…I’m happy for you for having come here and done what you came to do. What a magnificent job you’ve done and I see you now as having the joy of returning Home to decide on the next grand adventure of your infinite existence.

It’s time to celebrate…

What a wonderful week this has been – chock full of writing and healing for me. I am so glad to be alive, right here, right now, doing just what I’m doing right now – writing! Why did I wait so long to get started doing this?

I am still in the process of getting the site up and running and look forward to adding more splashes of color to it soon. I’m thankful for the comments from JaneRadriges on my very first article posted for publication on this blog. Her comment helped remind me about how much I love to write and share with others and about how healing the process of sharing is for me. KattyBlackyard’s comment also helped remind me of what a powerful medium the internet can be for world change. Thanks gals!

I am also thankful for Cindy, a personal friend and confidant of mine, and founder of The Angels on Earth Ministries, a non-denominational 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization dedicated to “helping us be The Angels On Earth that we truly are and helping people come together with the compassion and the grace of the Divine that is within each and every one of us”. www.theangelsonearth.org. Cindy is a powerhouse dynamo, an inspiration and a blessing to our world! She’s also one the first to have encouraged me regarding this site and for that, I thank her.

As I write today, I am reminded of the many people around me that play such a wonderful role in my life each and every day: Mother, Dad, Charles, Diane, Jim, Michael, Phyllis, Steven, Brian, Keri, Dave, Milton, Jamal, Laurel, Patty, Elmas, Noah, Ann, Tom, Corina, Chucky, Matthew, Uncle Ernest, aunt Karen…the list goes on and on. Some inspire me, some help me heal, and some encourage me. Some serve as role models, some know how to prod me into action, and some help by simply being there and accepting me as I am. Some teach me, some fix my website, some give me advice and some add humor to my day by making me laugh. Some cook for me, some nurture me, some tell me what I need to hear and some lend freely of their own creative talents for the betterment of my life. I’m glad to take this moment to go within to send my ethereal “Thank You”s, soul-to-soul, to both the listed individuals and those to come who bring so many blessings to my life. Thank you for adding such sweetness, diversity and fabulous flavor to my life!

By the way, I’m also really thankful for free inspirational poem websites like www.indianchild.com .

Here’s a brief poem that serves two purposes. First, it describes some of what the friends I’ve thanked today have done for me and, second, it expresses what’s in my heart for myself, humanity, and anyone who might be reading this – all fellow travelers with me on the journey of life….

I’ll Be Here

I cannot ease your aching heart,
Nor take your pain away;
But let me stay and take your hand
And walk with you today.

I’ll listen when you need to talk,
I’ll wipe away your tears;
I’ll share your worries when they come,
I’ll help you face your fears.

I’m here and I will stand by you,
On each hill you have to climb;
So take my hand, let’s face the world…
And live just one day at a time.

You’re not alone, for I’m still here,
I’ll go that extra mile;
And when your grief is easier,
I’ll help you learn to smile!

Are you in a situation where your parents, a friend, or other loved one is facing financial distress?

Looking for a way to encourage them, help them, support them?

Then read here for some pearls of wisdom from a coaching client on this very issue….

Cathy’s Dilemma

I’d like to share with you some of the revelations of a recent client who came to me distressed over what she could do to help her parents, who were experiencing severe financial distress.

This client, let’s call her Cathy (not her real name), well, Cathy was very concerned about her parents, who found themselves at a point where, every month after paying all of their bills, they only had a couple hundred dollars left over. This had been going on for a long time.

Cathy was very distressed over this. Afterall, her parents were wonderful people and after having worked so hard throughout their life, they were now in their twilight years and should have been living comfortably and fancy free. Instead, her parents were being confronted will bills, bills, bills and she saw it slowly destroying them in mind, body and spirit.

Cathy wanted to be able to help her parents, but was unsure how to do it. She considered herself very spiritual, but was questioning what her role could be to help them. Afterall, she said, “If I’m so spiritual, why are my parents in this situation?” Cathy also found herself questioning whether she had the spiritual strength of belief to help her parents and she was also a bit angry at the world for putting them in that situation. For how could such kind, loving and generous people be in such a predicament?

Cathy was so distressed over the situation that she found it almost impossible to discuss it with her friends, choosing instead to push it into the back of her mind. But that wasn’t working. Cathy noticed that not only was the issue crushing her parents, but it was starting to eat her up as well. She was feeling heavy and down and depressed, hopeless over the situation to the point of having stomachaches and beginning to cry whenever she thought about it.

Being without the financial means to contribute to her parents’ bills, Cathy’s goal was to figure out other ways to help ease their pain and distress.

So that’s the backdrop and here’s where the magic starts. Below I will share some of the conclusions and inner wisdom Cathy found within herself during our session. This is one of the reasons why I love coaching! I really enjoy helping others connect with their own Divine Knowing and, through the process, I am reminded time and time again of just how wise we all are. Cathy (again, not her real name) has given permission for the sharing of some of the details of her session and this is shared in the hopes that others may find some peace, comfort and helpful ideas to apply to anything similar going on in their lives.

CATHY REALIZED SHE NEEDED TO HELP HERSELF FIRST!

1. Address any Fears You Have Around the Issue

I’ve noticed that sometimes we question our abilities to help another “see the Light” of a current situation. We wonder whether we’ll be able to convey the spiritual truths and principles that we see working in our own lives to another in a way that is adequate, meaningful and understandable to the other person.

Cathy knew she’d have to be bold enough and strong enough to remind her parents of their God given abundance and their ability to create their own environment. Cathy knew of and lived the “change your thinking, change your life” philosophy, but she was worried about broaching the subject with her parents about whether there were any limiting beliefs at play in their lives that were helping to create the situation. Cathy questioned whether she was a “good enough” person spiritually to effectively counsel her parents in a way that would help achieve the results she wanted – an improvement in their financial situation.

Cathy was also fearful about what would happen EVEN IF SHE WAS ABLE to share that information with her parents. Even if she boldly reminded them of their creative power over their lives, what if they refused to remember that and instead, said “hogwash” and continued playing the role of being a victim of circumstance?

The “what then” for Cathy involved her seeing and picturing in her mind how her parents would endure more and more hardship, hurt and distress and these pictures and thoughts were painful to Cathy. Again her stomach knotted up, and she began crying and then declared it was time to change the topic because she just couldn’t handle talking about it anymore.

I find that sometimes when I’m really close to an issue, I have limiting beliefs that come up within myself that must be addressed BEFORE I can get calm enough, quiet enough to go within to hear the still, quiet voice of Spirit. Often before we can help others, we must help ourselves so we can come from a place of our own Divine Knowing to effectively help others connect with theirs.

Here are some tools I find helpful in addressing fears and limiting beliefs that come up (often more than I’d like!):

Meditation
• EFT (“Emotional Freedom Techniques”)
• Prana Breathing
• Journaling

I’ll be sharing more about the topics of meditation and journaling soon. Click here for more information on EFT.

Now back to Cathy…

Cathy decided to address the emotions and feelings in her physical body that came up around this issue as if the emotions were real, tangible, live energies attempting to communicate something to her. She was willing to have a conversation with her inner self presenting to her as her emotions. And, as so often happens, here’s where Cathy’s Higher Self entered, Cathy’s guides entered, God entered and the Love entered and began having a conversation with Cathy… loving her, guiding her, sheltering her, encouraging her…giving her hope.

2. Is your Worldview a Positive or Punishing One?

After Cathy faced her fears about the safety and security of her parents, she was able to refocus and settle into herself, and when she did, she heard this question asked by the still, quiet voice within: “What’s your view of the world, Cathy”.

For Cathy, this was a reminder that she had to decide – were her parents magnificent creators experiencing a situation brought to themselves by themselves to show them and remind them of their grandness or were her parents victims of a punishing world conspiring against them, just waiting to leave them destitute, homeless, alone, unhappy and afraid?

My experience has been that we bring to ourselves situations as an opportunity for growth and remembrance of Who We Are. When faced with our own situation or that of another, we must decide which framework or perception of the world we’ll choose to view the situation from. Are we victims of our circumstances and a punishing world or did we choose to come here as grand creators to experience Earth as our playground where can bring to ourselves and create whatever we’re sending out in our thoughts, words and deeds?

What do you believe?
Not from your head, but in your Heart of Hearts, your sacred heart.
What’s your worldview?

Do you believe the world is a dangerous place filled with pain and suffering hiding around every corner, just waiting to punish us if we don’t do it right, say it right, live it right and please God appropriately? Do you believe that,

OR

Do you believe in a world filled with good, with angels disguised as humans who bring to you gifts always? Do you believe in a world where you truly are guided, protected and loved at all times?

In any situation, we have free will and can choose whatever worldview we want. But I’ve noticed that each of the two views leads to totally different spaces. One is disempowering and leads to fear, helplessness, depression and anger. The other empowers us and leads to peace, strength, determination, love, and hope.

3. Avoid Attempting to Control

I’ve also learned that sometimes, when I move into fear about how another person’s situation looks, what I’m really trying to do is to control. By wanting another’s life to look like and feel like and be the way I’ve chosen is best for them, what I’m really trying to do is to have control over them and their life (so that I can indirectly or vicariously feel like I have more control over my own life and “world”).

I find that, instead of that, we can choose to allow others their path, their experience, knowing that no matter what, even if they died penniless today, they cannot ever truly be hurt. Know that your loved ones (and even your next door neighbors and coworkers!) are eternal angels disguised as humans – eternal ever changing energy forms, souls having a physical experience, not bodies that can be forever hurt and denied future existence.

Importantly, I’ve found that as I allow others the freedom to live their lives as they choose, my own sense of freedom expands as well. If I feel free, then I feel thankful, then I fill joyful, and its from there that I’m creating the life of my dreams!

CATHY ALSO CAME UP WITH CONCRETE SOLUTIONS FOR HOW TO HELP HER PARENTS.

After taking some steps and time to usher in peace for herself at that moment in time, Cathy’s sense of helplessness lifted and she became inspired to develop an action plan for how to approach her parents about their financial situation.

4. Remind Others that They Have the Power of Choice

Cathy’s inner wisdom also reminded her that her parents have choices. First, Cathy realized that her parents have a variety of very left-brained (logical) approaches they could use in their situation. She came up with the ideas that she could remind her parents of their power by asking them questions such as: What’s your weekly or monthly budget? How much do you choose to set aside to pay for this or that? How many credit cards do you need? How many cars do you really need? Where do you want to simplify to experience a more meaningful and peaceful life?

Second, Cathy’s intuition encouraged her to remind her parents that they too have the power of choice as to whether they’ll view their situation from a viewpoint of lack or from a viewpoint of gratitude for what they DO have in their lives right now.

Remember, under the Law of Attraction, if we view from a place a lack, that will simply lead to more experiences of lack coming into our lives. Choosing to view a troubling situation from a viewpoint of gratitude and thankfulness for what we DO have, will lead to us experiencing more and more to be grateful for! Cathy’s inner wisdom asked her to remind her parents of their power to choose – their power to choose their worldview (see above) and their power to choose to view their situation from a perspective of lack or a perspective of abundance. A very right brained approach!

So by working with her own intuitiveness, Cathy was able to develop these and other approaches – some were left-brained (logical) approaches like you might see on your average financial tips news show, while others were very right-brained (creative, expansive, having to do with the bigger picture - like one’s worldview and whether to perceive one’s situation from a standpoint of lack or gratitude).

5. The Most Powerful Thing We Can Do

Cathy chose to remind herself that her parents are indeed magnificent creators, as was she, and she chose to remember that whatever her parents were experiencing at the moment, that was the right and perfect experience for their path at the time.

Cathy experienced an Ah-ha and realized that the most powerful step she could take to help improve her parents’ situation was to keep her parents in her prayers and to send them Love and Light to surround them with “Light” in the hope that their path would become illuminated so that they themselves could “see” whatever changes and steps were necessary for them to take at that moment.

MY OWN GIFTS FROM THE PROCESS!

Through the session, I was reminded that we are all loved, guided, and protected always and in all ways. The solutions for whatever problems we face are but a mere breath away. The answers whispered to us through our heart of hearts, our sacred heart, are the solutions that are right for us on our path at this moment. Our answers may not be the answers most appropriate for another as we are on our own path. We are all united and connected on this journey of life, but the winding path of our walk through the forest may differ in scope, quality, quantity and purpose from the meandering voyage of another.

The most powerful thing I can do to help another is to refrain from judging the path of others and instead send them Love and Light and allow them the freedom to experience their path in whatever way is right for them. I know that we cannot be hurt and will be guided towards the right answers for ourselves, if we will but choose to go within to seek them. My joy is to support, “coach!”, encourage and remind us all of the gloriousness of that inner journey.

Cathy explained that the entire experience of going through the angst and turmoil over her parents’ situation and then addressing her own fears, and then going within and accessing her own intuition to develop useful solutions to the dilemma was extremely helpful for her. I personally witnessed Cathy going from a stance of fear and helplessness, to becoming bright with hope and possibility to being determined and solidified in her own authentic power. Sometimes, we can help others by standing in our own authentic power and holding space for another while they go through their process.

So this was my client Cathy’s story (again, not her real name) and I share it with you as an example of 1) the power of coaching and 2) the Divine Wisdom that lies within each of us and 3) the power we each have to help others through the sharing of our stories.

While I served as Cathy’s coach on this issue, what she was experiencing was similar in some ways to a current challenge in my life. So the divine wisdom Cathy accessed and shared with me during the coaching session, not only dramatically improved her mental, spiritual and emotional balance, it also improved mine. And for that I am thankful.

I thank you, Cathy, for sharing your story, and I thank you who are reading this for allowing me to share this beautiful moment with you.

Love, peace and blessings,

I enjoy journaling about gratitude. So I’ve decided to begin an online gratitude journal as an extension of my personal, internal and written process of experiencing gratefulness for the many blessings of my life.

So, today, I find myself grateful for (not in any particular order):

My Car

It allows me to do so much and transports me to fabulous places…

My Health

As I continue on my path of claiming a healthy, beautiful, vital, and energetic physical body, I am right now grateful for the fact that I can right now breathe, move, hear, see, smell, taste and touch perfectly!

My Immediate Family

I have two brothers and a Mother and Dad still on this Earth plane. They are all wonderfully giving and loving individuals that I am blessed to have in my life. However, a recent experience has helped to remind me of just how special they all are to me.

One of my favorite weekly webcast programs is the The View From the Goddess Light offered by the Silver Wings of Light group associated with Kirael.com. Last week, as a starter to that program, we completed a meditation in which we were guided to reflect back on ourselves at the ages of 10 years old, mid teenage years, 25 years old, etc., and recall our best friend at that time. This was a very worthwhile process that I highly recommend for a variety of reasons, but it was a particularly beautiful experience for me this time because I recalled two very important things.

First I recalled that for almost all of my life, I have been my best friend. There were many times, especially early on in my life that I did not treat the best friend of me very well, but my best friend of me has always stuck with me and been there for me through thick and thin. For that I am grateful.

The exercise also led me back to one of my brothers. I have two brothers. One is older than I and he is one of the boldest, most courageous, kind, loving and generous people I know. However, he was often off working with my Dad and for that and other reasons we didn’t often get much time to play together. Despite that, I still love him dearly! (Although, now that I’m thinking about it, one of my favorite memories of him was when he sang as the “lead” in our “band” where we did singing performances for my parents!)

My other brother though, the one younger than I, well he and I were constant play companions – we played things like “cars” together, we played “cops and robbers” together, we played “cooking”, “office”, and “store” together and we played “drawing” and “writing” together. In fact, we used to have competitions about who had the best handwriting. I recall winning most of those then, but after college, my handwriting changed so dramatically that I’m not sure who’d win today. He was my friend, confidant and fellow warrior and adventurer at a very important and formative time of my life.

During the meditation, I expressed my thanks to my other best friends at different ages of my life, but I must admit that those few, precious, moments spent recalling what a wonderful best friend that brother was to me when I was 10 were priceless! I hope he’ll get a chance to read this soon and thereby receive another “thank you” in addition to the one I shared with him during the mediation.

Who was your best friend when you were 10, 15, 25, and 35 and on up years old? How did that friendship serve you, improve your life, or help mold you into who you are today?

(Click here to go to Kirael.com to hear the audio recording of the short meditation I referenced above. The topic of the June 3, 2009 discussion was: “Changes in Me: How we meet the challenges in our lives.”)

Aahh, but I digress… Now back to what I’m grateful for…

The Experience of Life

Surprisingly, I am also grateful for the ups and downs of life. As a recent post explains, last week was a challenge for me and I just recently emerged from what one might call a slump or period of low excitement– I’d joyously played and played through life to the point of depleting my well and had to take some time to recharge. As I progress through life, I will continue to find ways to spend more and more time within the midpoint of life, the balance of life that is peace. However, I also realize that without the down times, the joy and elation of the up times would be meaningless, uneventful and unrecognizable.

For Being Here on the Planet Right Now

This is a very special time on Earth right now. Mother Earth is ascending, vibrations are increasing and much is shifting both on the planet and within our physical bodies. I am grateful just to be here on the planet during this current evolutionary process and vow to serve in ways that are for the Highest Good of myself, the planet and humanity as a whole.

What are you grateful for? What are you most excited to have in your life right now? Feel free to leave a comment declaring what you’re grateful for to the world!

The list of what I’m grateful for could go on and on. Including part of my gratitude writings online is a new journey for me and I am glad to be able to share this part of me with you! Check back next week for the next edition of LaTonya’s Gratitude Journal!

My Dilemma

Yesterday started off as a down day for me. I’d just spent the greater part of last week doing a great deal of writing – on both my upcoming book, as well as this site - and the highs from being in the “zone” for so long eventually caught up with me… and I went sliding from high heaven back down to ground zero. I experienced what many of us experience after the holiday season…the expectation builds and builds and builds, then the big holidays end and some feel sad or look around asking “what now?,” “What’s there to be excited about now?”

The Choice

So yesterday, started off as a downer day. However, I remembered to remember that I was not alone, and I reached out for support and also went within and then took action to recraft my mood into a more pleasant one.

One of the things I love to do to improve my mood is to write. When I’m feeling down for whatever reason, I’ll often just pull out a piece of paper and just start writing about whatever’s happening. I find that no matter how negative I start out, eventually, my Higher Self comes to my aid and begins comforting me and counseling me on how to improve my situation.

Here’s an excerpt of the freeflow writing I did yesterday to reclaim a state of peace for myself…minus the beginning paragraphs which I haven’t included for the sake of brevity…

So, in case you were wondering…this is the part of my site that’s “LaTonya Harrison…writing.”

Have a great day everyone!

Enjoy!

CHOOSING PEACE

I have so many thoughts going on inside.
So many jumbled feelings surrounding these thoughts.

…

What can I do to release this…
Writing it down and getting it out of me is a good start.

I feel sad because…

….

What do I choose in my life….

I choose freedom…
I choose joy…
I choose excitement…
I choose Love…
I choose peace.

Above all, I choose peace.

Peace with myself…
Peace with my life…
Peace with others in my life…

Peace with what’s coming…
Peace with what’s around the bend that I know nothing about.

Peace with whether the business fails or succeeds….
Peace with the role I have to play within it…

Peace with myself for the live I’ve lived….
Peace with my heart knowing it’s always been in the right place…
Peace with the moon, the sun, the stars and Mother Earth…
Peace with my God knowing I’ve never been alone…

I choose to see the Peace within to see the Peace without and all about.

Is there something in your life about which you’re seeking peace?
Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments.

Plus, check back soon for my upcoming article detailing several other quick tips you could use to increase the peace in your life.
